Banco do Nordeste is a Brazilian regional development bank headquartered in Fortaleza, Ceará. The bank was founded in 1952 and today has 300 bank branches and that allied to the work of the Development Agents and Agencies Travelers, allow the Bank to be present in about 2000 cities in all states of the Northeast region of Brazil and in the North region of states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo.

A former employee shared his/her experience working for Bnb Bank (Banco do Nordeste) on Glassdoor in October 2014:

"Too political. Not stable. I worked at Banco do Nordeste do Brasil full-time for more than 5 years; Lack of stability, lack of vision. Lack of commitment from some colleagues. Poor management of work relations. Some incompetent people in high positions based solely on politics."

"lack of growth opportunities, promotion of less qualified employees solely due to being acquainted with hiring managers. managers of certain branches are very unqualified and does not actually do their jobs and depends on loan officers bring relationships rather than seeking them out themselves rather than networking. every private banker or loan officer i've encountered is incredibly arrogant and demanding."

"I was not compensated for my responsibilities. After just 3 years and even with promotions my pay scale was under the average in an area with a high cost of living. After 6.5 years I was paid under $15k the average for my position and responsibilities I had to leave for proper compensation. I was almost denied my last promotion by Upper Management from due to Not receiving a calendar invite to a meeting, therefore missing the meeting and had to prove that it was never sent to me."

"Senior management does not care about employees, they are more interested in drinking and going on golf outings. Extremely sexist, racist and homophobic. Inappropriate behavior at every turn and they have their “favorites” who can do no wrong, if you are not included in that category, you work hard and do not get recognized. However, when they stab you in the back, they do it with a smile!"

"you won't get paid enough to bother working there. yes they offer benefits but at what cost to the pay you actually get to take home? your there at 8:30 am and don't get to leave until after 6 on fridays. and then you have to work weekends but you wont get overtime to make a barely decent pay-check because they send you home early on a monday or tuesday or wednesday or thursday so they can keep you on the busy days (friday) and the scheduled saturday."

"Too many people to report to. Upper management would get re shuffled every constantly but never replaced or fired. Very political. Examples being family being hired and promoted over other. Many employees did little to no work while others had to pick up their slack. The least productive employees often got promoted cause the were related to upper management or heir parents had big deposits with the bank. Hard work was under appreciated and who you knew was appreciated. Many employees got special treatment cause of family. Management were figure heads.Company events.Incompetent management, favoritism, biased lending, non updated softwareThank you for taking the time to provide constructive feedback.
